More Tea Anyone ?.... Tea Shoppe and Apothecary Art

Good Morning...or is it? It is very damp and grey at the foot of "Moel Siabod" this morning..however there is some consolation. Izzy and Olly are sat watching Beauty and the Beast and I get to update my blog.
I promised you some more Inspiration with the "Tea Shoppe" stamp set....so here it is.
There are lots of Tea caddies on the internet at the moment...this is my interpretation made with one a4 sheet of cardstock.
I used the beautiful "Twitterpated" DSP and added some lovely pleated ribbon. To finish the caddy I made a rosette with the "simply score" board and added an antique brad....and because I had all the stuff out on my desk...I decided to make another one!
I have also been busy creating cards using this set....I had wanted to create some masculine cards..need to work on that...I think.
I love this colour combo - Soft suede, pool party and more mustard
Another fave combo - soft suede, Island indigo and pool party. I also embossed the little cups with some delicious vanilla scented embossing powder
and finally soft suede, so saffron and pretty in pink...its difficult to pick up on the photo but I added some dazzling diamonds detail with the glue pen.

Next up is another stamp set available from the summer mini catalogue
Apothecary Art. This has some gorgeous vintage style images and it co ordinates with the new framelits dies also available in the summer mini.
I stamped the same image several times and coloured them in with my blender pen and various ink pads.
I cased the first design from the cover of the summer mini catalogue....the inspiration for the colours came from my trusty "colour coach".

After I stamped and coloured the images I added some crystal effects ( sorry I seem to add it to everything!!)

The final thing I wanted to share with you all is a pretty baby Dress card.....I have wanted to make one of these for ages....there are lots of designs on the internet...but what better place to look for inspiration than my lovely Upline Michelle Last.
this is the beautiful card she posted on her blog yesterday Baby Dress .
I knew I had to case it!! So here it is

Michelle had added a cute pink pin to her design...sadly I didnt have any in my stash...so I added some pretty in pink brads and a cropped scallop circle to look like press studs on the frilly vest. Inside I added a scallop envelope (made using the die) and popped in a little message.

I am very pleased with the result.....thank you Michelle for your wonderful inspiration x

Have a lovely day and please pop back soon x

Anyone for Tea?

Hello and good morning
It has been too long since my last post....sorry.
That is because I have had new things to play with from the fabulous Stampin Up! summer mini catalogue.
I have made several cards that I hope to share with you in the next few days.
Firstly I want to showcase the Stamp set "Tea Shoppe"
There are some wonderful images and sweet sentiments in this set...making it very versatile.

This card was made as a commission for a friend and it was my first "Play" with the set. I used the Large Medallion stamp from the current catalogue to create a doily and embossed the image with white embossing powder onto DSP from the naturals stack, The little flowers were made with the boho blossoms punch, I also used the small tag punch to create the tea bag ( a perfect little touch to add to this set..dont you think?). The card was finished off with a satin ribbon bow and pearls.

Oooh I wish you had "Smellivision" for the next card...it smells lovely...the cup is embossed using the cherry scented embossing powder (available in the summer mini). The pelmet curtain was made very easily using the new score tool. The cupcake punch was used to add the clouds in the background (sadly it was only available in the spring mini catlogue..and we will have to wait to see if it makes the new catalogue later this year).
If you would like the details of the colours/inks used please get in touch...this post is being cut short now by the fact Oliver is now using the sofa I am sat on to compose this post as a trampoline!
Please pop back soon to see some more crafty makes using this set.
Bye for now x
