All In The Family.....A Gift for Mrs Williams

Hello and good morning.....I am a wee bit bleary eyed this morning, I was crafting until the small hours (2am to be precise)! It was all for a worthy cause....A special leaving present for Mrs Williams, Isabel's nursery class Teaching assistant. She is leaving to go to college to do teacher training and I know she is going to be greatly missed by all the children,Parents and staff.
I wanted to give her a keepsake....something to remind her of the pupils in the nursery class.
I had spotted on the web this frame and thought it was a fab idea to case.
I used the "All in the Family" stamp set.
This is a wonderful 28 piece stamp set that you can mix and match the different images....I love the fact it also has a cat and dog image too.
There are only 7 pupils in the nursery class (the joys of living in a small village) it was very easy to pick out the images to suit each child.
I stamped the Images in Black stazon onto very vanilla cardstock and then used my watercolour pen to colour the images. The text was stamped using the "Letter It" and "Number It" sets. I sponged a little background and added some punch Itty bitty flowers to add some more colour.
(The frame was Ribba from Ikea....excellent for Stampin up 3d projects)
This is how it turned out.

I also stamped a matching Canvas bag...for Miss Hughes (an idea I cased from my lovely Downline Ruth (she is a very talented Photographer and has recently been introduced to the joys of Stampin up and cardmaking check out her Facebook page Here)
and I also made some "Post it note" holders and gift wrapped (SU style) some chocolate...then forgot to take photographs...Sorry!!!
I did manage to find a photograph of the cards I made......way back in march (stamp set Fruit and Flowers SU spring Mini)

Isabel went armed with her gifts this morning...I need to collect her soon and then home for SIX weeks!!!! oh my!!
Thankyou for stopping by x

Stampin Up Make a Monster

Hello and good morning, Today I would like to share with you a card I made for Jac..a little boy in Isabel's reception class at school...this was the perfect opportunity to ink up the fun stamp set "Make a Monster" from the current SU catalogue.

The combinations are endless...and this is a fab set for children's cards.
I wanted the card to be bright and fun....I really enjoyed making this one!
What do you think?

Once I got started...the card just evolved. I stamped the main images onto watercolour card with Stazon and coloured them in with ink "squished" into the lids of the classic pads and a watercolour pen. To add a little dimension I added some Crystal Effects and before it dried sprinkled it with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
Do you like my little monster in his spaceship? I added a little acetate window punched from a stampin up window sheet. The planet and space ships were all created using various Stampin up! punches.
I also jazzed up a simple Kraft paper bag to hold the present.

I love it when you can turn a plain and simple bag into something cute and personal.
The cardstock and colours were from the Brights collection.
Please get in touch if you would like to order Stampin up products used in this project.
and pop back again soon. x

Baby Card & Collage Frame

My friend Abigail has just had a beautiful baby Girl...."Anwen". A new baby is a great excuse to get crafty and make a lovely personalised gift and card.

There is lots of wonderful inspiration on the web for collage frames....I set to work with a blank box frame this one was from "Wilkinsons" and armed with 2 square punches and the postage stamp punch created little framed squares. the stamped images came from Broadsheet Alphabet, Bundle of Love, Aviary and Little Additions (all available in our current catalogue). I also added buttons, brad, ribbon and itty bitty punched flowers to add to the 3d effect.
(the colours used were "Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand and Perfect Plum).

I wanted a really "girly" card for little Anwen. This Pretty in Pink card was mostly made with Punches - Tab,Mixed Bunch and Blossom petal punch were used to create the dress and I also ran the vellum through the vintage wallpaper embossing folder before punching out the largest petal. I heat embossed the bodice of the dress and added heat and stick powder followed by dazzling diamonds for an extra sparkly look. I added a punched tag with the sentiment from "little Additions" stamp set and finished the card off with matching ribbon.
(papers came from Delicate Doilies dsp).
Thanks for popping By x.
