An extra special Hello if you have joined me from Sarah's blog.

Today I would like to share with you 4 cards I have made using a stamp set found on page 33 of the new Stampin' Up 2012/13 Catalogue "You're Amazing".

I think this is an extremely versatile set and right on trend inspired by the Circus, with the cute ticket images and wonderful sentiments - and if you don't fancy cutting out those ticket images by hand there is also a matching Ticket Duo Punch available (p.182).
It is my little girl Isabel's 5th Birthday tomorrow and this is the card I have made for her. I think it has the right amount of bling (thanks to the fabulous new Silver Glimmer paper and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter) and pink that any little girl would love - and of course she is "Amazing".
The lovely girly pink colour is Primrose Petals In Colour and the daughter stamp came from "For My Family" stamp set.

The second card features some of the lovely Patio Party DSP and some of the gorgeous In Colour Stitched Satin Ribbon. I have also highlighted the word 'Amazing' with some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

My third card is my attempt at a masculine card - but don't you think this image could be useful for all sorts of occasions?
The card base was embossed using the New Larger size! Chevron Folder.

For my final card I have used a masking technique with the balloon image - the sentiment was cut out using the Apothecary Accents Framelits set of 4 dies. The largest of the dies coordinates wonderfully with the "You're Amazing" sentiment too.

Well that is all for today. I have a 5th Birthday Party to prepare for - eeeek 15+ children at the last count!
I do hope you have enjoyed looking at my cards. If you are looking for some more crafty inspiration then please hop over to the lovely Catherine's  Blog.
Thank you for stopping by. x

Pinkies Stampin' Up! Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue Blog Hop

Welcome to our first ever Pinkies’ Blog Hop.  We’ll be showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Autumn Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Our blog hop buttons will help guide you on your way. We love comments, so please do tell us what you think!

Hello..and an extra special welcome if you have joined me from Gill's blog x
I have been busy crafting over the school holidays and have lots of lovely items to share with you in the next couple of weeks including Items I have made for selling at  local craft Fairs.....But first to the new Autumn Winter seasonal Catalogue ....have you had a chance to see it yet? You can view it by clicking on the link in the side bar.....enjoy!
The first project is a fun spooky Halloween card.
I have used 2 stamp sets from the new A/W seasonal catalogue.
"Googly Ghouls" and "Owl Occasions"

I created a card base from Early Espresso card stock and then coloured a Whisper White layer with daubers..I started at the bottom with Cajun Craze then gradually added Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard and finally So Saffron ....next I embossed  Early Espresso Core'dinations card stock in the fab new Woodgrain Textured Expressions Embossing Folder.

I trimmed the embossed layer following the lines to create spooky tree silhouettes ....I then stamped the bats, spider, cut out the owl popped it up on some dimensionals.
To add some extra "spooky" fun I punched several holes in the trees and before adding the layer to the card base marked the position of the holes with a pencil then added some SU "Googlies"!!! A creepy sign with the sentiment from Delightful Dozen( Current cat.) and a squirt of champagne glimmer mist and this is the finished Card!

Ha Ha Look at my cross eyed tree!
My little boy Olly loves this card......especially the scary "PIDER" (can't quite say the "s")

For my next item.....When is a card not a card?.......When it's a notebook!
I created a standard card base from Cajun Craze card stock secured approx 30cm of ribbon around the centre and added a Gumball Green and Early Espresso Core'dinations embossed layer...I sanded the embossing to really expose the white core. I then added a small layer of the lovely "Orchard Harvest" DSP and some Die cuts cut from "Autumn Accents Bigz Die" (I used More Mustard and Cajun Craze card stock and inked up the edges with Cajun Craze/Early Espresso. I spritzed the Die cuts with water and crumpled them in my palm...once dry added them to the layer with a button from the Regals collection and a "Friend" sentiment from "For My Family"(current Cat.) stamp set.

For the pages I took 20 sheets of A5 copier paper trimmed the edges (so they fit neatly into the card cover), scored and folded them in half. I then punched 4 holes  along the crease and also the card cover and secured it all with linen thread.
A simple and Beautiful  little gift.

I hope you have enjoyed the Items I have shared with you today. Please feel free to leave a comment.

I hope you will also find time to visit all of the other fabulous blogs in the Pinkies Blog Hop x

Stampin Up! Owl Occasions

Hello and Good morning....
Here is a card for you today using the very versatile "Owl Occasions" stamp set from the Autumn/Winter seasonal Catalogue.

As you can see it features a cute owl and accessories that are suitable for any occasion, Male/Female, old and young....who can resist a loveable little owl.
I used some Pink Pirouette Card to create the base and after cutting the oval in another piece of P.P. card and ran it through the Woodgrain Embossing folder.
I stamped the owl onto Whisper White using the "Rock n Roll" technique with Pink Pirouette and Early Espresso, Popped up the Perfect Plum Balloon on some dimensionals and added some Itty Bitty flowers....The sentiment is a hostess set "Happiest Birthday Wishes" and the "1" is from the retiring "Timeless Type" alphabet dies.
What do you think?....I am sure you will see some more creations using this set :0)

Hello and good morning.....It is never to early to think about Christmas and the New Autumn/Winter seasonal catalogue available from Stampin Up! is jam packed full of seasonal goodies Including the new exclusive"Snow Flurry Bigz die" .

This is today's offering using the die.

A quick and simple gift trio of card, gift box and tag

The Dsp you can see is also from the new catalogue "Snow Festival"

If you would like to have a go at making this box....this is what you will need
1 x cardstock 12" x 8" (box)
1 x cardstock 6 1/8" x 4 1/8" (lid)
1 x cardstock 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" (decoration)
1 x dsp 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" (decoration)
die cut snowflake, brad and ribbon

Score your cardstock 12x8 (with the 8" at the bottom) at 2" and 6", turn it around (12" at the bottom) and score at 5" and 7"
you will see 2 small scored rectangles on either side in the centre make 4 cuts from the edges of your cardstock to the score lines (2 either side).
Reinforce your score lines with a bone folder add scor tape to the long edges of 2 of the larger rectangles.

For the lid take your cardstock 6 1/8" at the bottom and score at 1" and 5 1/8" turn it around and score at 1" and 3 1/8"
from both 6 1/8" edges make snips along the score lines to the next score line (4 cuts in all).
reinforce your creases add score tape and assemble.
I matted the dsp onto the remaining piece of cardtsock secured the snow flurry die with a brad and adhered it to the front of the box. the finishing touch was the ribbon.
I used the same co ordinating papers to create the tag and card.

Hope you will have a go at making this little box....it would be perfect for some perfume or maybe some homemade goodies.
Any questions please get in touch
Have a lovely Day x

"Something New out of Something Old" Stampin Up Recycled Paper Wreath

Hello and good morning and welcome back to my blog.
The project I would love to share with you today is my entry for the Annual Dolwyddelan and District Show....it is a HUGE event in our villages social calendar and competitors from all over the county bring their home grown produce, flowers, cakes, jams and craft items to be put on display...and hopefully win a small cash prize or one of the coveted Cups.
Unfortunately my love of beautiful flowers and tasty produce doesn't extend to actually growing them!!! so what to do?
Under the local craft section was the heading "Something New from Something Old" and having brought my stash of Stampin Up! packing paper out of hiding decided to create a recycled paper wreath.
The wreath was very easy to put together, I started with a Flat back polystyrene circle, I then wrapped long strips of the packing paper around the wreath to hide any sign of the polystyrene and secured with a hot glue gun I then punched out 100's of Large scallop Circles (I say 100's sorry I lost count!) and scrunched the scallops around the top of a blunt pencil...they were then glued one by one onto the wreath until I was happy with the coverage I sponged the edges with some Old Olive ink and gave it a generous squirt of Champagne Mist. I then added some butterflies cut from scraps with the embosslits folder and a sentiment from the now retired "Butterfly Prints" stamp set ( It was suspended on some clear fishing line).
The wreath was finished with some Rhinestones and some Soft suede grosgrain ribbon.
I have to say I was very pleased with the result....even Jon was impressed!
and Look I Won!!!
came 1st in my section.
The Richmond girls were on a roll that day as Izzy got a 3rd for her entry into the U16's craft section for her little button bracelet.....there were only 4 entrants!!! but she is only 4(almost 5).
Now you know what to do with all of that lovely brown paper packaging!...and it would be so simple to change the wreath to suit different seasons...have a go. x
bye for now...

All In The Family.....A Gift for Mrs Williams

Hello and good morning.....I am a wee bit bleary eyed this morning, I was crafting until the small hours (2am to be precise)! It was all for a worthy cause....A special leaving present for Mrs Williams, Isabel's nursery class Teaching assistant. She is leaving to go to college to do teacher training and I know she is going to be greatly missed by all the children,Parents and staff.
I wanted to give her a keepsake....something to remind her of the pupils in the nursery class.
I had spotted on the web this frame and thought it was a fab idea to case.
I used the "All in the Family" stamp set.
This is a wonderful 28 piece stamp set that you can mix and match the different images....I love the fact it also has a cat and dog image too.
There are only 7 pupils in the nursery class (the joys of living in a small village) it was very easy to pick out the images to suit each child.
I stamped the Images in Black stazon onto very vanilla cardstock and then used my watercolour pen to colour the images. The text was stamped using the "Letter It" and "Number It" sets. I sponged a little background and added some punch Itty bitty flowers to add some more colour.
(The frame was Ribba from Ikea....excellent for Stampin up 3d projects)
This is how it turned out.

I also stamped a matching Canvas bag...for Miss Hughes (an idea I cased from my lovely Downline Ruth (she is a very talented Photographer and has recently been introduced to the joys of Stampin up and cardmaking check out her Facebook page Here)
and I also made some "Post it note" holders and gift wrapped (SU style) some chocolate...then forgot to take photographs...Sorry!!!
I did manage to find a photograph of the cards I made......way back in march (stamp set Fruit and Flowers SU spring Mini)

Isabel went armed with her gifts this morning...I need to collect her soon and then home for SIX weeks!!!! oh my!!
Thankyou for stopping by x
