Get Well soon

Hello lovely blog followers.
Today I wanted to share with you as promised a card made using a fabulous technique shared at the Stampin Up Regional Training day in Telford. Lynne Fahey a fellow pinkie demonstrated this super easy but effective way of creating fabulous backgrounds for your stamped images and all you need are some Stampin up marker pens,  an acrylic block, a water spritzer and some whisper white cardstock.
I made this card for my Husband...on Tuesday he underwent an operation a very anxious time for us all...but I am pleased to say he should be home with us again tomorrow...cannot wait.

The background is very easy to do.....I picked four SU markers - Daffodil delight, Tangerine tango, Pumpkin pie and Real red and coloured an acrylic block  starting with the lightest colour at the top. When I had coloured the whole of the block I simply spritzed water over the entire block surface then stamped it onto the whisper white cardstock- keeping it presed down firmly until I could see the ink being absorbed into the card. Once dry you can stamp your image of choice onto it....I love this set "Just Believe" it has these wonderful silhouette stamps. I created mats from Real red and tangerine card, distressed the edges and added it to a card base created from Early espresso and the Woodgrain embossing folder. I also added some Natural trim,  a pewter slider and I couldn't resist adding a squirt of champagne mist and dazzling details to the flowers. The sentiment is beautiful and comes from set "Word Play"
If you would like to get your hands on any of the supplies used for this card please get in touch...and give this wonderful technique a try.
see you soon x

Stampin' Up! Regional Training Telford

Hello...wow what could be better than spending the whole day with 300+ crafters...all sharing their love of Stampin'Up and their wonderful products.
On Saturay 11th May Stampin' Up held a Regional Training Event in Telford. It was a great oppurtunity to meet up with my lovely upline Michelle Last and fellow Pinkies, share new ideas and we even got to have a sneak peak at some fabulous new products coming our way with the launch of the new catalogue in July- very exciting!
It was a very busy, action packed day with some very inspirational presentations from fellow demonstrators. Pinkie team members Lynne Fahey and Sarah Poulton took center stage. Lynne gave a wonderful demonstration of a stamping technique using SU's clear blocks...so easy and very effective. I have already given it a go and will post some photographs soon. Sarah gave a talk about using social media to enhance her business...and how she juggles being a mum with a baby daughter and her Stampin Up career ....I made lots of notes!
Another fun part of the day is "Swapping" I made 65 swaps to share with other demonstrators and received some gorgeous swaps in return..It is a great way of collecting ideas. I made 2 different swaps, both Tags...what do you think?
Hope you enjoy...I will be back soon with Photographs of some lovely swaps.
thank you for dropping by. x
