Bordering On Romance

Hello and good morning. It is very grey and wet here at the foot of Moel Siabod today.....come on spring...get a move on!

I can see very little in the way of Spring Colour from where I am sitting...Just as well I have created some of my own using Stampin' Up! 'Bordering On Romance' stamp set. This is a lovely outline set.....great if you enjoy colouring in.

It also has a decorative edge stamp that coordinates with 'Adorning Accents Edgelits'

I used the new In Colors and made a card base of Raspberry Ripple, I then used a mat of Very Vanilla and a sheet of DSP from 'Print Poetry' paper stack..a great way of getting your hands on 24 different designs and they are a perfect size for matting C6 cards...and great value at £6.25

I embossed the image onto watercolour paper and then coloured it in using my markers and my blender pen.  I then made the image pop with some Crystal Effects....added some Raspberry Ripple ribbon and a sentiment from our recent Sale a Bration promotion.(you can still get your hands on the little punch.. and.it will be carrying over to the new catalogue).

Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside.........

Hello and Good morning.

I was actually singing the title to this post as I was writing it....mmm I know a bit mad...but it does make you feel nostalgic and look forward to warmer weather and trips to the beach.

Creating the card I want to share with you today made me feel the same. I have used the stamp set "By the Seashore" from Stampin Up.

Stamped layers of Whisper White with Pool Party, Midnight Muse and So Saffron Inks. Made a Reef knot from some Twine and added some dimension to the star fish with some dazzling details. I love this fresh color combo and I think this card would be great for male or female

I really enjoyed putting this card together....I wanted it to feel like a beach hut and a holiday postcard...I had fun with the woodgrain embossing folder and distressed the cardstock with some light sanding and sponging. Sponged the sky and sea and added a bit of sparkle to the water and sand.

Similar layout to the previous card...but this time I had ago at heat embossing on our vellum....I wanted the colours of the sentiment to match the cardstock...so I inked first with Versamark and then lightly with Bravo Burgundy, stamped and then covered with clear embossing powder. I also love this collection of sentiments from Stampin' Up "Feel Goods"(available in Spring/Summer Mini).

and Finally....I have used this colour combo and layout before....It was a lovely quick card to put together...with a bit of distressing and again a touch of dazzling details sparkle.

"Refreshing" News from Stampin' Up!

Today Stampin' Up! have announced that they will be refreshing the four colour famillies from 1st July when our new Annual catalogue is released.

 

 10 colours will be replaced there are some new colours but you will also see the return of some of our favourite colours from past In Colour collections. Check out the list below which includes all the new colours as well as the discontinued colours.

All the new colours will be available from 1st July.

As from today, colours that will be leaving us will only be available WHILST STOCKS LAST ! If you need to order your favourites then please get in touch.

Before I go........ if you did not get your hands on the petite curly label punch during sale-a-bration it is now available to purchase and will go into the new Annual catalogue.
